Caballito de Mar in Spain will this year transform again into a true yoga paradise from the 11th until 18th of October. This third edition will be an unforgettable experience, a journey throughout your body and soul.
On our big teak terrace with seaview, you can salute the sun every morning and fill your lungs with some healthy sea air. Close your eyes and embrace the tranquility, open your eyes and breathe in utter peace and quiet.
Our yoga teachers this year are from the UK and have been practising yoga for over 15 years. Fransesca Stutely has a degree in Hatha yoga and loves to maintain in long postures. Nicole Stone also has a degree in Hatha yoga but specialises in Vinyasa Flow. Sabrina and Pierre are not certified but very disciplined and have been practising Ashtanga yoga intensively for several years. Therefore there will be three different yoga classes on the programme each day.
This year we also offer a couple of new activities that are closely tied to the yoga sessions and will relax and enrich the body and mind:
Massages: Debra Wilkenson is well known for her relaxing massages. Claire Durrants is a master in Chavutti Thriumal (indian rope massage with the feet)
Shaman: Kay Fach. She is convinced that every human being possesses healing and self-healing abilities. She tries to restore and support these capacities. Shamanism is based on the presumption that the visible world is penetrated by invisible powers or spirits which influence our life.
Reiki: Trudi van Dorp. The healing powers of her hands work on the energy of the body and restore the balance.
All these people guide you through the wonderful world of yoga and mindfulness. They ensure this week will be a sublime and unforgettable experience.
New, this year, are the 'cooking classes' and 'home made beauty products classes'. Be conscious of what you eat and put on your body. A view on healthy eating and cooking and making beauty products without synthetical hormones or chemicals.
Anyone who’s in for an extra challenge can also participate in our SUP yoga sessions. Stand up paddle (SUP) is a great balancing exercise for all the muscles, on the water. You will be standing on a surfboard with a paddle trying to maintain your balance and move forward. When you have found your stability, you can even practice some yoga poses. Try it out!
Obviously you can also relax at one of our two pools, or enjoy our heavenly bathtub. During this week, we will cook extra healthy with biological vegetables and fruits, that were bred in our own garden. Everyone can help out in the kitchen and take home tips on how to cook a good, healthy and fast meal.
